The description makes these seem to block more light than they do. They are pretty good quality and a very good value. I don't think they would repel water, but seem to be ok getting wet

they are curtains I use for a in screen porch they are very light so they fly all over, tried weight to hold them down but it didn't work, but for privacy it works

Wish they came with curtain weights for windy days. Glad they came with tie backs.
